to be awesome
ABOUT ME
I'm a would be artist who loves good food, good drink and good company. Myes...I am a bit of a hedonist. I like to laugh and meet new people. I'm a really laid back person who likes to chill out, but also to hit local bars/pubs, theaters, and random parties. Sometimes my sense of humor can be a little...off or politically incorrect but there's never any disrespect. I also knit technicolor socks!!!!
PHILOSOPHY
Guinean philosophy courtesy of my nana:
"Life is like a long string around your neck. You can choose to take all the good imperfect moments as nice imperfect beads and at the end of your life have a loooong necklace or, you can wait for the perfect moments and have a long empty string around your neck with very very few diamonds."
That and "Don't shit where you eat"...

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Rent, Anchorman, Baraka, Thumbsucker, Me, You and Everyone we Know, Garden State, The Pursuit of Happyness, Spaceballs, anything by Kevin Smith, any Sofia Coppola film, The Squid and the Whale, Whale Rider, ET, Harrold and Maude, The House of Yes, Dazed and Confused, Hairspray, Across the Universe, My Blueberry Nights, Animal House...and all the cheesy chick flicks that we all love to hate (but really love deep down inside)
Music: The Beatles, the soundtrack to Garden State, Portishead, Leonard Cohen, house music, 80's music (all the way baby!)...to be honnest, my computer is full of stuff, from Perry Como to Derrick Carter...so chances are, if it's not too whiny, I like it! Anything with percussions and of course...BOWIE!
Books: Harry Potter, Harry Potter, Harry Potter...Simone de Beauvoir's Mémoires d'une jeune fille rangée. I mostly read plays, I like Sarah Kane, Valère Novarina, Chaurette, and plenty of contemporary drama writters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*I had the balls to leave home to travel for a month. I've always been a really REALLY "straight laced" girl...it took me out of my shell!
*Attended a conference by Peter Brook, the greatest director (in my book)
*Shaved all of my hair off for no reason other than to try it out...
*Left Montreal with a plane ticket and no itinerary...
*Saw the Callanques in Marseille
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to cook and/or bake and how to knit. If you need it, I can help you analyze a play and coach you if you're an actor. I'd really like to learn how to grow a little veggie garden on my fire escape. I also really really want to learn how to cook meals from all over the world.
