About Me

Hello! I'm Supriya from India, currently embracing the exciting world of startups as a Director of Products. My journey in academia took me through the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, where I completed my MBA. This experience opened the doors to a wonderful opportunity as an exchange student in France, marking the beginning of my extensive travel adventures.

Travel has always been a passion close to my heart. During my time in Europe, I had the incredible opportunity to explore 18 countries, 13 of which I ventured through solo. These experiences were not just journeys across landscapes, but also explorations into diverse cultures, traditions, and ways of life.

My travel enthusiasm isn't confined to Europe; back home in India, I've traversed the length and breadth of the country, from the snowy peaks of the North to the serene backwaters of the South, and from the vibrant cultures of the East to the historical richness of the West. Each place in India tells a different story, rich in cultural diversity, religious plurality, and varied lifestyles, something I find endlessly fascinating.

Asia, too, has been a significant part of my travel map, where I've immersed myself in new cultures and met incredible people along the way. These experiences have enriched my understanding of the world and have left me with countless stories and insights.

I'm excited about the prospect of sharing these stories with you and learning from your experiences as well. For me, Couchsurfing is more than just a travel tool; it's a gateway to understanding the world through the eyes of locals and fellow travelers. I look forward to connecting, sharing, and continuing this journey of cultural exchange and exploration.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the heart of my travels lies a deep-seated passion for connecting with new people, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and experiencing life from various perspectives. I believe that every place has its own soul, best discovered through the eyes of those who call it home. This is why I'm drawn to Couchsurfing - it's a platform that transforms the way we explore and connect.

Throughout my travels, I've realized that to truly experience a destination, one must go beyond the role of a mere visitor and step into the shoes of a local. It's about understanding the subtleties of their culture, indulging in local customs, and embracing their lifestyle with an open heart. This approach has not only enriched my travel experiences but has also led to the formation of lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

Couchsurfing, to me, is more than just a means to find a place to stay. It's a gateway to authentic travel experiences, a chance to see the world through a local lens, and an opportunity to be part of a global community of like-minded individuals who share a love for exploration and cultural exchange.

I'm incredibly excited about the prospect of meeting fellow Couchsurfers, sharing stories, learning from your experiences, and together, adding more chapters to our travel diaries. Here's to new adventures and the many friendships that await!

Looking forward to meeting you and exploring the world, one Couchsurfing experience at a time! 😊

Interests

Travel is at the core of my passions. I find immense joy in immersing myself in different cultures, understanding the nuances of various countries, and connecting with people from all walks of life. Each journey is a new chapter of learning and discovery, and I cherish the unique stories and perspectives that come with every new place I visit.

Beyond my love for travel, I have a keen interest in sports. Volleyball, throwball, and badminton are not just hobbies for me but ways to connect with people, stay active, and enjoy spirited competition. Whether it's a friendly match at a local park or just hitting the shuttlecock around, I'm always up for a game.

Nature holds a special place in my heart. I find tranquility in the outdoors, be it a serene hike in the woods, a peaceful walk along a beach, or simply basking in the beauty of a sunset. These moments in nature are a source of inspiration and rejuvenation for me.

Food is another passion of mine. I love exploring local cuisines and trying new dishes. Each region's food tells a story of its culture, history, and people, and I'm always eager to indulge in these culinary adventures. I also enjoy cooking and would be thrilled to share and exchange recipes.

Books have been lifelong companions, offering gateways to different worlds and perspectives. I enjoy a wide range of genres, from thrilling fiction to insightful non-fiction. Discussing books and sharing recommendations is something I always look forward to.

And there's so much more that piques my interest. I'm always curious to learn new things, whether it's a skill, a hobby, or understanding different viewpoints. My interests are diverse and ever-evolving, and I believe that this variety is what makes life truly enriching.

Through Couchsurfing, I hope to connect with others who share these passions or can introduce me to new ones. I'm excited about the exchange of ideas, experiences, and the endless possibilities that come with meeting new people.
