Informazioni generali
Chi sono
Data Scientist by profession. From India, was living in Singapore for 16 years, now based in Bremen.
I travel as much as I can when I take time off from work.
I have been told that I am an introvert and I agree begrudgingly – I like talking but I tend to try and listen more these days (but I can also open up a little more with time :) .)
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
For the occasional travel I do for a break from busy work life. Mostly solo travel.
Interessi
When I travel: Walking around town, exploring hidden cafes, museums of art, culture and history, laneways, parks, a good hike up a hill, chill bars and live music. Experiencing sunsets (at a beach would be ideal) and relaxing evenings.
But generally: Reading, writing, science, art, movies, photography.

Musica, film e libri
Music: 60s classic rock and blues. The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd. Some pop artists of today as well.
Lately I have been listening a lot of Of Monsters and Men, Fleet Foxes, The Lumineers.
Movies: Too many to name, and my favourites keep changing but mostly among the oldies and classics. Usually revisit the works of Kubrick, Scorsese, Truffaut, Cronenberg from the past and Coen brothers, Danny Boyle, Paul Thomas Anderson, Richard Linklater, Jim Jarmusch, Nolan, Bong Joon Ho and Wong Kar Wai from more recent times.
Lately I have been obsessing over Portrait of a Lady on Fire and Aaron Sorkin's screenplays.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I quit my job in 2017 to do a bit of solo travelling. It was pretty much a first for me, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. I fell in love with Japan the second I stepped foot in Tokyo.
In 2018, when I did a month long backpacking trip across eastern Australia southwards, I made a last-minute decision to take a flight from Melbourne to Tasmania. That became the best decision of life.
I visited 2 sites of unspeakable horrors in the span of a week - the Killing Fields in Cambodia and Nagasaki nuclear bomb site in Japan.
Also caught the Northern Lights at the end of a month long Scandinavian adventure :)
