About Me

I am an adventurer at heart. I can get a bit philosophical in my mind but I wouldn't bother you with that, mostly I am trying to have fun and can get really enthusiastic at times. I like to push myself to the limits. Learn new stuff and discover about other cultures and languages. I am more interested in experiences than information (though when I can't have the former I can spend a lot of time reading up stuff on the Internet... because my mind is a sponge and I can assimilate a lot in a small amount of time.. anyway). I am on a secret journey to find out what makes life worth living and what I can bring out into this world.

In 2012-2013, I traveled *overland* from Istanbul to Bali. Going through 11 countries, riding buses, a honda win motorbike and a mountain bike converted into a touring bike. This was so far the best decision I took in my life. It rewarded me with an incredible taste of Asian cultures and incredible places.

In 2015, I decided to quit my job and let my Swiss life behind me to set off on a new adventure. I ended up cycling from Mexico City to Colombia over more than 5'000 km. Met a lot of cool people, surfed, cycled a lot, punctured a lot of tires, slept in my hammock and looped around northern Colombia for the last 5 weeks.

When on the road, I am an adventurer, an explorer, a photographer and a writer. I am not on a vacation rather I see my travels as a way to live my life fully and an opportunity to inspire other human beings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Many great memories. Meeting interesting people and learning about the local way of life! =)

Interests

Exploring the world and discovering new things, new people, new cultures! Going out of the road and maybe leave a trail. Never stop exploring.

Surfing - When traveling near oceans, I always look forward to do some surfing!

Climbing - I really like to climb and that's what I do when I'm in Switzerland. I can climb up to 6c rock climbing routes (just to give an indication in case you'd like to climb with me). And always looking for an outdoor adventure.

Photography - I love to take beautiful pictures. I am still an amateur but always keen on improving my photography skills. I shoot with a Fuji XT-1.

Writing - Sometimes I like to write and when I do it most often comes out in philosophical tales, adventurous stories or, at times, poems. It somehow helps me to take the insanity out of my head.

Languages - I always make an effort to learn at least the basics of a local language because I think it makes the trip much more interesting. With Spanish, being native french speaker, I hope to go one step further and learn it well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get myself out of the conformist way of living that the world in its hypocrisy tries to impose on me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am super curious and I love learning new things and therefore teaching too. I usually get absorbed in a new topic if I find that it aligns with my values - for example recently I became really excited about sailing!

I can teach rock climbing, snowboarding, give some tips about how to travel by bicycle, gymnastics, how to make French " crêpes", digital photography or anything that I know and you could be interested in! :-)

I am currently teaching English in Mexico but you should know that my mother tongue is French.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about my travels, talks about extraordinary lives of some people I read in books and some people I met traveling or any conversation that goes beyond how nice the weather is.

If we're very lucky maybe we can share outdoor adventures or a good meal. I'm usually not a bad cook ! ;-)
