CURRENT MISSION
work, save money, travel, travel, travel....
ABOUT ME
So I figure it's a waste of time to completely disregard everything below, therefore I will simply give this disclaimer. I am no longer living the life that is described here, but I still possess all the interests and skills described therein. As of February 3rd, 2013 I have no employment or obligations. I am a traveler pure and simple. I have finally come back to my calling and I am absolutely ecstatic at prospect of meeting all you wonderful people. If you would like to see what my life was like up until now, please see below...
The days of being a student are officially over for me. I finished my B.A. in Environmental Studies here at UCSB and I have joined the workforce. I work full time at a local company making atomic force microscopes. If you are familiar with the technology then you probably know more then I do about it. In addition to working, I have been taking night classes and doing internships related to environmental design and green building. So while I love to surf, snowboard, mountain bike, fish, etc., it is becoming more and more difficult to do so. For now I am trying to live it up with good food, friends and a healthy appreciation for the amazing place that I live in. In a year or so I will have enough saved up for my real passion, traveling the globe...see you soon, world!
PHILOSOPHY
I try not to take anything too seriously. I am very easygoing and I try to appreciate the things I have. I have flexible personal values but I try to act and live in a way that I will never be afraid to justify. That said, I love new experiences and I'll try anything once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted many people from all over the world. I am currently looking to meet people from South America, New Zealand, Australia and southeast Asia so that I can go surf their couches on a year long trip that will start in 2013. In the past I have also surfed couches in London, Stockholm, Vienna, Portland and South Lake Tahoe. I can appreciate the need for a comfortable couch while on a long trip, so that's what CSers can expect while surfing here...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have thoroughly enjoyed everyone that I have met on couchsurfing. The generosity and kindness that has been showered on me since joining this program has made me a true advocate. I have introduced several people to the site and try to convey the best aspects of the overall CS experience to anyone who I meet. So far all good people and good times.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies. I'll watch anything, but I really enjoy something ridiculous. Outrageous comedies, unbelievable thrillers and unwatchable horror films. I like movies that are sooo bad they are beyond criticism.
Music. My taste is generally eclectic and embracing. However if I had to pick, I would say that I have a deep affinity for anything that can be classified as house music. I have a basic weakness for deep and sexy bass lines.
Books. I think reading is important. That being said, I read when I have to, otherwise rarely. I think that will change after college. ***Update, that has not changed after college :(
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watch the SB sunset every night...
Teach, Learn, Share
#1) Don't try to impress CSers. #2) All CS encounters should include beer. #3) Take lots of pictures.
