About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live, and let live; love, and let love

ABOUT ME

I showed my hopeless curiosity when my parents had to repeatedly drive me away as a kid when adult guests visited home, and it was the same curiosity that led me to journalism. As a journalist, I feel grateful and previlidged for people who have generously opened their hearts and shared stories with me, and each one I encountered turned out to be a great book! I'm never short of curiosity to read on! My stories appeared on media outlets including BBC, South China Morning Post and China Central Television. In 2007 I contributed a feature story to Lonely Planet China guide about how a young migrant worker in Beijing chased after his dream of a professional photographer.

UPDATES: ordained as a monk in East Tibet since 2016

PHILOSOPHY

life is neither beautiful nor ugly, but a surprising compromise.
