About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To finally figure out which came first: the chicken or the egg.
ABOUT ME
I'm short but I make up for it with lots of personality. Enjoy life and every experience that it brings, especially if it involves food. My only fear seems to be heights, so, unless you live in the Himalayas, I wanna meet you! But really, I think life is about collecting experiences, writing about them, sharing them, and doing things now, now, now (preferably on a whim)! It's not worth waiting till you're old and retired, too weak to trek up to the Acropolis or scuba Molokini or hike the Andes. Just do it -- swoosh!
PHILOSOPHY
No regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love CS -- used to host, but can't any longer, since I live in a too-small place with too many people. I'm always available to meet for coffee, a beer, or a meal, however. I'm an avid eater and know all the cheap spots for some nosh and a good story. I have been all over the world and continue to travel, so hope to meet more CSers along the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS is about the people, and my CS and travel experiences have shown me time and again that it's not the journey, not the destination, but rather the people that make life rich and wonderful. Incredible, wonderful, kind, generous, fantastic people have, in one way or another, colored my life and made it that much richer.
CSers I've met or whose couches I've surfed:
Elior Zizov, Kabelvåg, Lofoten, Norway: 18 - 20 July
Matias Johannessen, Trondheim, Norway: 14 - 17 July
Sturla Gyllenhammar, Norwegian fjords: 08 - 12 July 2011
Fernando Cervantes, Stockholm and Oslo: 03 - 08 July 2011
Bas Mensink & Pracha Thonthong, Malmö: 30 June - 01 July, 2011
Emilie K, Copenhagen: 30 June, 2011
Mads Georgsen, Copenhagen: 27-30 June, 2011
João Mateus, Amsterdam: 19-27 June, 2011

Music, Movies, and Books
Everything, really. I read more than anyone I know, but have the worst memory on earth, which is totally helpful when talking about the books I've read (ugh). In terms of music, my iPod has everything from Elvis to Cesaria Evora to Chris Botti to GaGa. I think my tastes are pretty eclectic, and, to be honest, music makes itself personal when you're on the street or taking a stroll and suddenly a song pops up that perfectly complements the mood. Life is good and the soundtrack in my head makes it better.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting places where the transition between traditional and modern are in constant flux. Being Vietnamese and visiting Vietnam for the first time was both inspiring and saddening, as heritage and tradition too often came into conflict with modernity and capitalism. Oftentimes, traditional cultures sacrifice their unique heritage for some perceived ideal of what a modern country should look like. Too bad.
Other than that, Mother Nature has given me more gifts that I can recall!
