ABOUT ME
I am fairly new to couchsurfing, and though I made the account a while ago, I have not spent much time on it. But after a few amazing experiences couchsurfing while traveling, I realize how incredible this site really is!
About me: I am energetic and on the fly. I have my doctorate in physical therapy, and look to maintain good health so that when I'm 80 years old I'll still be hiking and trekking around.
I work as a surf instructor, physical therapist aid, and more than anything I love to surf, travel, and spend time with good friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't worry, be happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Again, I am fairly new to this site, but I am more than willing to give up my couch and show travelers around my city. I love engaging in conversation with new people and discover new perspectives in life.
Update: Now that I have moved to Miami, I am hoping to meet some new people to expand my network beyond just the students in my class.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have yet to host (only because my roommate was adamantly against it), but now that I am moving out, I will LOVE to host. As of now, I have only slept on other's couches and had only amazing experiences!
Interests
Nature -I love getting outside.
From getting out to hike, snowboard, surf, kitesurf, scuba dive, cycle, tennis, rock climb ... I'll do just about anything to get me into nature. Staying active, both physically and mentally, make me feel I am making the most of my time.
Travel - Nothing beats getting to see new places in the world, eat new foods, meet new people! I am new to couchsurfing, but am stoked to host and be hosted!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Iguazu Falls in Argentina - when I am stressed out I can meditate on these falls and feel tranquil and at peace. There's something timeless about these falls; the waters have been raging for thousands of years and that I got to witness it still strikes awe in me.
Another thing that really excites me is scuba diving. I got my licences while studying abroad and spent a week in classes learning how to dive. There truly is a whole world under water most neglect to think about, but while under water, peace and serenity overcomes me that truly strikes me with awe and wonder.
Airplanes - No matter how mundane it is for many people, and even a chore to get in a plane, I feel a rush and exhilaration knowing that we have the capability to get into a metal can for a few hours and end up in a different side of the world. Humanity has created such amazing things that so many take for granted; I make an attempt to look at the world through a child's prospective - it helps keep excitement and wonder of the world we live in.
Lastly, looking up at the night's stars never fails to strike me with awe.
Teach, Learn, Share
If someone has a specific skill, I love shadowing them and trying to gain that skill myself. I also am a teacher by heart, and love to share the knowledge that I've acquired. Mostly, I can show you exercises and mobility techniques as I have become a master of physical therapy/body movement and assessment.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A curiosity to experience their own city through the eyes of a traveler, great conversation and life stories, a positive attitude, and a place to stay in return when you travel.
But more practically, my physical therapy skills. Who doesn't love a good adjustment or suboccipital release? :D
