ABOUT ME

I love travelling and abridging cultural borders! As a person I'm social, a bit on the philosophical side, open-minded and curious. I'm devoted to honesty, justice and making the most of my life as well as trying to contribute towards a better world (phew!). I'm married without children. I mostly travel with my husband, but sometimes with a friend or alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me CS brings together two main aspects of traveling: Meeting new people and discovering new places I otherwise would have missed. I don't have much experience with CS but me and my husband have hosted and have been hosted many times through home exchange and airbnb. The way these communities lets strangers come together and share both experiences and possibly homes is simply beautiful. I've made many new friends. Nothing beats this way of traveling!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met a people for a chat through CS. My main experience from hosting and staying in other peoples homes comes from home exchange and airbnb.

Interests

I'm into literature, politics, decorating, music, food, travel, nature and more. I love getting engaged in discussions, socializing with my friends, walking in the forest or meeting new people. I'm a bit of a francophone as I love French culture and visit France at least once a year. I also like gardening on my balcony.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to movies: Anything that's French… I rarely watch television.

Alternative music, Elvis Costello, Van Morrisson, REM, Dinosaur Jr, and many more. The singer songwriter tradition.

I like authors like Haruki Murakami, Zadie Smith and Donna Tartt. I also read a lot of popular neuroscience and I'm inspired by Daniel Siegel, Emma Seppälä and Kristin Neff among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exchanging homes with France and discovering the same now-out-of-stock glasses fr.o.m. IKEA in their cupboard. Meeting a German Guy in the lobby of a Canadian hotel and finding out that he was once engaged to my mum's best friend.

I think there's always something to learn from every person I meet and the fun lies in mutual proces of finding out what this is.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm generally a positive person who loves to chat. I'm a also fairly organised and tidy! I don't smoke and I've no allergies.
