About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To expand my knowledge of all things interesting and to find happiness in the simplest of things and let my inner purple shine.
ABOUT ME
I am a champion of children...don't mess with them on my watch. Every child is unique and every child should be seen, heard, educated, and mostly loved. I enjoy cooking and watching travel shows when I'm not traveling., I don't travel nearly enough. I enjoy a good laugh, dancing and love the beach. Nothing better than the feel of sand on your toes and the ocean mist on your face. I would love to travel every continent before I die. Two down five to go.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that we are all here on a mission. It may be as grand as a life changing universal discovery or just a moment in time when your smile changes someone's life. I believe you should hug those you love often and those who are far send a message of love, but never never keep it hidden. It is the most precious gift to give and to receive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to meet other women who are not afraid to travel alone and hear of their adventures. Some years ago I traveled to Spain alone for six weeks...amazing. Walked, drove and backpacked. I would like to host families on a budget, like my own, in my home along with individuals.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with someone once and it was a great experience. I've hosted 5 surfers and others through personal friends word of mouth. All have have been filled with great conversations and happy connections.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like indie, r&b, rock, classical...I like it all I guess from reggae to blues. I like historical autobiographies and anything that expands my knowledge and horizons. I'm a sucker for documentaries and pretty much anything on PBS.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked the Camino de Santiago, staying in hostels, churches and monasteries along the way. I've been to Pamplona and Barcelona, dipped into the Mediterranean. Stood atop El Castillo at Chichen Itza with my sister, snorkeled in the Caribbean and witnessed both a nesting and hatching of Loggerback turtles. Been kissed by a tropical fish, type unknown. Ran my hands along George Washington's banister, met Sally Ride ,the astronaut, hiked to the Feather Falls, camped in Yosemite and backpacked in Lassen National Park. Given birth and have had the honor of being with loved ones as they have passed to the other side. Had my deceased dog randomly contact me through a complete stranger to tell me she was fine and had completed her mission I gave her before she passed. Giving me the most important message I have ever received in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a good cook ( I've been told) and would love to teach some Mexican cooking to those who pass through my home if they like.
I can take you to some beautiful swimming holes in the local area, as well as other spots in California. As well as showing you all there is to see on 2 wheels in the Chico are.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook you a meal. Help you see something or do some light gardening, a larger project if time affords.
