Music, Movies, and Books

I love different kind of music, ranging from classis to party music. The best music is the kind of music that makes you want to dance, that kind of movement that comes straight from your heart.

My favourite disney movie is Robin Hood. Nowadays, I don't often watch movies as I try to avoid screens outside my working hours :-)

I used to read a lot of fiction when I was a teenager (such as Jean M. Auel.), but now I prefer to read books I learn from, such as "Why good people do bad environmental things" and "The selfish Gene".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First evening in Kilpisjärvi, Lapland. Teemu had the idea to go climbing a neighbouring hill/mountain (Saana, 1029m), camping at the top, and watching the sunrise. This all directly after dinner. It was cloudy, but maybe we would see the norhern lights. It was already dark, so it was not only my first winter hike, but also my first night hike. When we were starting getting higher, we suddenly dimmed our lights and realised the sky was clear, full of stars. Immediately I saw a falling star. I wished for seeing the aurora during that one week stay in Lapland (alway be clear about what you want and when). About a half an hour later we noticed some bright areas in the sky, which seemed to be the aurora. I said in my head to the falling star: "Hey, not like this, I want strong, vivid northern lights, the real shit." (not something that is only beautiful on a long shutter speed photo)
I got what I wanted. During the night, the activity increased. My top moment was this band of lucid green and purple moving quickly above our heads, as you see in the youtube videos. It was amazing.
Thank you falling star.
