Hi! I am looking forward to meeting you and learning about your experiences couch surfing and seeing the world! I left a job in financial technology to live a dream of working and living in community round the world... never dreamed it would begin in China, but it did and I am into my second year here in China teaching children and adults English!

What to share about myself, hmmm... I have a modern, big for China, nice loft like flat with a roomie kitchen and a comfy couch for you! I share my space with my adopted cat MaoMao and dog Penny (they're both rescues from the streets). They love people and the house is really theirs, I just keep the kibble bowls filled!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While living in Zhengzhou, in Henan (my first city here in China) I co-hosted couch surfers with my roomie at the time, through her account on here. We hosted a pair of Russian friends traveling the world through CS! Another friend recently shared how great couch surfing is for meeting new people and building a global community - which inspired me!

I now live in Taizhou ing Zhejiang province. Taizhou is a sweet city, kind of small (6M+), situated just outside of Shanghai and close to cities like Ninboa, Hongzhou, and a stop on the rail line! It is a pretty city, with sweet, clean air and streets, nestled below green hills.

Committed to connecting with people from everywhere, being inspired by my friend, and having had a fun experience hosting, I've decided to take the dive myself into couch surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've gone back to the classics at the moment (reading Dostoevsky right now), though I mostly enjoy well written fiction and mysteries. I have an eclectic palate for music and movies... I'm looking forward to the next season of Handmaid's Tale, am into season 4 of Nikita, thought the Ozarks was crazy good, and love James Bond, Star Wars, and romcom.
