About Me
Hello! My name is Susan and I'm a young, adventurous gal with a passion for exploring, and I plan to stay that way until about age 90, at which point I will be a young, adventurous gal with some great stories to tell. I love traveling and learning about new places, cultures, languages, and people, as well as documenting through journalling, photos, and (especially) videography. I am many things: hard worker, horseback rider, babysitter, book-reader, competitive weightlifter, tea-drinker, photographer, soul-searcher, vegetarian food-maker, actor, stall-mucker, human rights activist, yogi, mentor, universe-lover, writer, animal-lover, camp counselor, fairy, people person, and much more. I'm currently on a gap semester before university (dates below).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet new people and explore new places while being immersed in a local experience - I've tried the whole touristy, checking-sights-off-a-list thing, and have decided it's not for me. Traveling means making meaningful connections, no matter for how short a time - it's the small moments I share with people that I look back on the most fondly.
Interests
Medium walks on the beach. Not long, definitely not too short - Goldilocks-style.
Just kidding. I think I wrote most of my interests above, I'm not very good at this 'filling-out-forms' thing... I'll give it a go:
Life. Seriously, it's pretty freaking fantabulous. And scary sometimes, and hard, but always always beautiful. So that's interesting. So is the Universe. And tea. Tea is good. So is moss.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I went into an outdoor hot tub, then rolled in the snow. It was cold.
Also I climbed a mountain. And one time I ate a whole pizza by myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes, yes, yes to all of the above
Also I know a ridiculous amount of theatre games and exercises, a little bit of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, some card games, how to read tarot cards, how to weave dream catchers, a few songs on piano and ukulele, a lot about horses, a bunch of random fun facts
I'd love to learn about herbalism and natural remedies, or anything interesting.
I can share laughter and some really bad puns. Also if I have food I can share that too. If you ask nicely.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can make basic vegetarian food, I'm a pro dish-washer, I am a wonderful shower-singer, and tea. Have I mentioned that I love tea?
Also, free hugs any time of day or night.
