I'm a 34yo female, and I've never been to Europe. I've been living in Australia for 18 years but I grew up in Ontario Canada. Currently I'm working two jobs and want to reward myself for all the hours I've been working with a trip to a place I've never been, before starting university (to study food science) next year. I'm staying with some friends (fellow travelers from Australia) from the 28th but just need somewhere to crash for one night on 27 December. I hope you can help but I'm also really excited to meet and get to know some locals :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to travel cheaply because I don't get any paid leave in my current jobs and will be quitting soon to go to university at the start of next year. I want to study Food Science and learn to brew beer. I love meeting new people with different backgrounds and experience and I'd appreciate any advice on what to see in your local area!

Interests

I love to check out vegan cafes and restaurants and cool craft bars and breweries.

Exploring the streets and markets and doing things the locals do is my preference over all the typical "touristy" stuff.

I'm interested in art, especially paintings, sketches and sculptures.

I'm also a bit into skateboarding and wildlife photography but am very bad at both.

I don't read as much as I'd like to but my favourite genre is sci-fi/fantasy. I love horror movies. I've been listening to a lot of metal and punk music lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I mined for opals, saw the ruins of some ancient pyramids and went on a tequila distillery tour in Mexico.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can clean, or tidy, or help you rearrange your furniture... I don't have a lot of skills but will be kind and respectful and very grateful. I'd be happy to buy or cook you a vegan meal!
