My husband and I are both retired and kicked off our very recent retirement with a camping trip across Canada for nine weeks followed by a week in Cuba where we mostly just relaxed. I think we need to go back to Cuba and do some real exploring, especially old Havana, one day just wasn't enough. I am a busy person but I am always busy with things which I think are worthwhile, fun or adventuresome. Right now, I am working on a quilt made with fabric I purchased two summers ago while traveling in Hawaii with friends. I'm not a quilter but maybe I can say I am a quilter in the near future.

I always have enjoyed travelling and encourage young people, especially, to see the world. I see hosting couch surfers as way to help young and old alike to see the world and meet the "people of the places". I love my corner of this beautiful world in which we all live and would love for others to see all we have to offer. If you like Dinosaurs, then come and see us at Brooks, Alberta, Canada. We have Dinosaur Provincial Park which is a World Heritage Site and it is amazing!

We like to travel, fish, boat, read, bike, spend time in the mountains, and love hanging out with friends, new and old. Because I enjoy cooking, I can usually accommodate most dietary requests.

I belong to a book club and enjoy a variety of genres but historical novels/big family sagas top my list of go-to books. Although...I have really enjoyed some quirky books a lot like The Hundred Year Old Man who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared.

Before we got married, I asked my husband if he would like to travel around the world with me and he agreed so we got married, saved money for three years and then spent 6 months circumnavigating the world. It was fabulous.
