I am married with a grown son, who is out on his own now. As a freelance musician, I have odd hours and many different work scenarios. I grew up in the big city but prefer the country now. I try to choose actions that show I care about people and the Earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a quiet, mellow person, but I do enjoy conversation. If anyone would like to stay in a rural area and look at trees, he/she would enjoy our small town. I occasionally travel to perform or study and would welcome a place to stay at those times.

Interests

I like silence when I can get it. I sing in a female barbershop chorus and direct a church choir. I teach general music to elementary students and I substitute at a daycare. I have acted in community theatre and enjoy movies and musical theatre.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My husband and I live in a renewable energy home. We offer a quiet setting (except for late-night violin playing-we're professionals, though-it might be soothing) and a dog. We would be happy to point out beautiful areas and antique shops to visit. We will leave you alone, if you want peace. We cook mostly vegetarian, but we are not vegetarians.
