I'm from Germany living in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost 2 years. I've been working as an au pair and I like it! It's a really good opportunity to travel, improve your language skills and get to know the American culture and the way of life.
I'm having an awesome time here in the U.S. - California is just beautiful.
