Spent 9 nine months living with an indigenous family as part of my research in the Peruvian Andes - certainly provided me with some amazing insights into everyday life struggles of a humble people, many of whom have consciously chosen a marginalized way of life, and opened my eyes to the taken-for-granted aspects of life in "the West"....I could go on...
