About Me

CURRENT MISSION

get to know the world step by step and the people who are living in it

ABOUT ME

I´m an open-minded person. I love traveling and see new places. I like to learn from others, listen to exciting opinions and try something new. My great passion are languages. I dream of someday being able to speak with all my friends all over the world at least some sentences in their mother tongue.

PHILOSOPHY

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." (Mark Twain)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can offer a couch in our appartment to surfers who would like to explore Berlin and also give you some nice ideas where to go to avoid the touristic places and still get an authentic impression of the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started my couchsurfing experience in Portugal, which I can really recommend as a perfect country for couchsurfers. I continued in the more Eastern part of Europe in Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary and finally tried couches more far away in Asia and South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

Another of my illusory goals is to read all the books which are considered world literature. Last year I read "Anna Karenina", after that I decided that one of these books a year a enough...
My favourite authors (in the moment) are Mario Vargas Llosa and Muriel Barbery.
Regarding films and music I´m open for a lot of things, as long as there are not to dark and violent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking 800km in 4 weeks from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela with 10kg on my back, sleeping in simple "albergues", eating mainly bread and cheese, meeting interesting people from all over the world and noticing that it does not need much more to be happy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nepal, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Viet Nam
