Overview
About Me
I am an idealist with strong values, but always try to think critically and enjoy being challenged. I grew up in the prairies of Saskatchewan but have had the amazing opportunity to spend two years of my life going to an international school in British Columbia with people from around the world. I also lived in Montreal, Quebec for several years, but currently call Vancouver, BC, home. I have spent a lot of my life as a 'student' but have been shaped by my experiences in various different jobs, including working on farms, with farmers' markets, and trying to institutionalize sustainability.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The greatest example of global generalized reciprocity - I look forward to spreading the love while travelling and when I am settled.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the pleasure of staying with Oscar, who I connected with along my travels through Venezuela. He not only showed us around his beautiful city, but cooked for us and introduced us to many of his lovely friends. I look forward to having more positive experiences with the couch surfing community!
Interests
I love food, the outdoors, people and music, and try to spend as much time as possible enjoying these things. I am currently involved in several projects with the goal of trying to improve our food system to nourish people and the planet.
