I'm Susanne, 18
I live in southern Germany, near Munich, and during the week in Regensburg, because I go to university there. I am studying English and Latin to become a teacher.
I would describe myself as a likeable, open-minded, empathetic and sociable girl.
A life without music would not be possible for me. It's a great possibility to express feelings and get into contact with other people. I play several instruments (flute, piano, saxophone, guitar) and I'm a passionate singer.
Apart from that, I like being outside enjoying the nature, going for a run or simply spending time with my family and friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to see more of the world - but I don't want to be a normal tourist.
Of course I am interested in the landscape and popular sightseeing spots of a country, but (like most of the people here) what counts most for me is getting to know locals, their language, culture and attitude to life. In my opinion, this is the way of travelling you can make the most wonderful experiences and memories. And on top of all these aspects, you get the chance to make new friends - what could be better than that?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to many different music genres (pop, rock, jazz, soul, classical, acoustic covers, …).

Reading enriches my life. My favorites are historical novels, thrillers, but also non-fictional books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three years ago, I took part in a 10-days student exchange programme with some students of a French school. Making new friends and discovering parts of their language and culture was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't want to miss this experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to help you learn the German language and show you around in the area I live: Munich, the Chiemsee (biggest lake of Bavaria), the Alps and much more.
Apart from that, I'm into interesting conversations about anything under the sun - from travelling through the German culture and lifestyle to really deep conversations.
Last but not least, I want to share my passion for music with you - either by giving kind of a little private concert or, even better, by making music together.
