Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling as much as I can and prefer to stay in hostels or with people at their homes. It's the best way to meet nice folks and get in contact with "real"people and their cities, villages and countries, their culture and way of living.
Have also been hosting guests via Servas for many years, and would be now willing to do so again and host couch surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Emigrated to Finland in 1982, brought up two amazing kids, bought a motor scooter for my 50 birthday and got my drivers license 2 years later, traveled on the Greyhound coast to coast in Canada, traveled the Transsiberian from Moscow to Beijing

Teach, Learn, Share

You could stay in a small room (I have a lovely cat🐈‍⬛ ,so you shouldn't be allergic or afraid) and I could give you some advice what to see and do in Helsinki and Finland. If I have time we could go for a drive or take a walk together, go to a museum or a concert.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Breakfast, laughter, my knowledge on Finnish jazz musicians and other information of Finland. If we find something interesting we could go to a concert or art exhibition together.
