About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Think globally and act locally

ABOUT ME

hmmm... difficult. I am easy to get interested in different things - sometimes too many at the same time. My mother said about me, that if I get three things of a kind, I start a new collection.

PHILOSOPHY

42 - the answer to the big question about life, the universe and everything

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can offer a bed for one person for short periods of time. Also it would be great to have a place to stay when I like to do some travelling

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my study (which is a rather long time ago), I hitch-hiked through New Zealand and got invited a few times by people who picked me up. Even though the word couch-surfing did not exist then, I got invites by strangers and had a great time - and I hope they enjoyed it as well.

Interests

animals, ecology, recycling, sailing, travelling of course, art, ceramic, poetry -
I like all creatures great and small, especially the "odd" ones: bats, snakes, spiders... Since I live in Spain I started to get interested in ceramic and cement tiles and I am researching the history of the latter.
Maybe you woud like to look at my blogs: www.susannes-sammelsurium.blogspot.com (about "everything", mainly in german) and www.mosaicos-hidraulicos.blogspot.com (about cement tiles, in english, german, spanish)
I don't accept friends requests of people I haven't met personally!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I already did a lot of things... some highlights were being a ranger for gannets at Cape Kidnappers, New Zealand; sailing across the atlantic in a three-mast schooner; raising four little swifts, that I found on the street in 2011...

Teach, Learn, Share

I started to get interested in insects and can take you on walks around town to show you what lives here. And of course I would like to learn more about any kind of wildlife.
