About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be the peace you seek. Wait, that's not a mission. Being the peace I seek. Better. Oh, and I am so not there yet.
ABOUT ME
I just moved to Konstanz where I have started a new job at the university. New city, new job, very exciting and I like it! Before that, I lived in Göttingen, where I was born and raised. I was away for twelve years, in different cities in Germany, and in the US, Iceland, and Latvia, mostly for study-related reasons. I enjoyed the time abroad most:)
I have lived in cooperative housing at different points in time, with 26 people, and 13 people respectively, and couchsurfing sort of seems like co-op living. I learned a lot living with many people and it shaped me quite a bit. I've learned that people are very different in their needs, but that we have things in common: everybody needs to sleep, everybody needs to eat. I like to discover commonalities with people as much as learning about differences. And I like sharing a laugh with people - I like to make people laugh and I like it when people make me laugh. Hehe.
I like to discover new ways to build community and couchsurfing seems to be a truly community-building enterprise. Talk the talk, walk the walk, and surf the couch.
