About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience cultures beyond my own, Meet amazing people with different viewpoints, have fun!

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm currently studying abroad in Sevila, Spain. Although I have only been here about a month, I can honestly say that this is the greatest time of my life. I love everything about the culture, people, food, nightlife...but the best part is finally getting out of my comfort home at zone and experiencing the world from a different point of view! I am open-minded, fun, and really just looking to meet people that are the same!

PHILOSOPHY

Dont take life too seriously. Happiness is just a perspective, a perspective I believe is best maintained living as if you were still 8 years old. We all grow up, accept responsibilities, but if one is still able to get excited about life's little joys the way a child does-you're set for life. (Again) Never take life too seriously. Laugh at yourself. Take strolls down the street. Speak the unacceptable. and Drink. Whenever. Whereever. (learned this one first hand living in Sevilla, Spain)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not yet participated in CS2, but now that I have a little taste of how difficult it can be to travel in a foreign place, I look forward to hosting travelers when I return to San Diego

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been one of the greatest aspects of my traveling experience so far. It is undoubtedly the way to go, as you will gain a much more genuine and culture filled experience. My main motivation for seeing Europe was to expand my horizons, and couchsurfing will introduce you to people who will indeed widen your perspectives. I feel very fortunate to have stayed with the people Ive stayed with..thanks to everyone, and I look forward to returning the favor!

Interests

A little bit of everything is what youll get from me, I have a side thats keen to adventure, nightlife, and the outdoors, and a side that cannot be fulfilled better than reading a political book. Crazy Dork, guess thats me! =) Growing up in San Diego I love to take advantage of nature's beauty, the beach, camping, hiking, taking local trips all over! Now that I've had my first overseas adventure in Europe, I know traveling will be a huge aspect of my future life. I am set out to see it all, and will do so the right way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Smuggled a bottle of wine all the way up the Effiel Tower.
Mastered the Spanish Language.
Evensong at Westminster Abbey.
Thrown up in El Palacio Real de Madrid.
Seen David Beckham.

Teach, Learn, Share

Exchange. I like that.
I've fallen in love with exchange since I've moved to Spain. Exchange of language, ideals, ideas, thoughts, passions, perspectives, love, food, beliefs.
I've learned the significance of the World's size and how it effects my life. It was a feeling that literally hit me like a ton of bricks, an emotion that overwhelmed me physically.Epiphany...but if there's one thing Spain has taught me it is that life will go on. There are so many different ways to live one's life. Cultural Standards are all relative, travel the world, find the one that is you and embrace it.
