About Me
Hi everyone :)
I'm Susi, 29, haven't been on here in a while..along with lots of other people I assume, haha.
I'm social, love intercultural anything, and am eager to get out exploring again after all this shutdown business. I enjoy good conversation over coffee, the outdoors, but also have absolutely no issue with lying splayed out over a couch all weekend.
I've studied English in language, culture, and media, so I can basically smalltalk about anything really, haha. Except crypto currencies, finance stuff, taxes, you know, the things I guess I should learn more about at some point. But storytelling, feminism, stylistics, no problem😋
I'll put my recommendations here in case you need new inspiration, haha. If we ever get to talking I probably wouldn't make it to 2 hours of convo without mentioning those anyway, so might as well leave them here, right😅
Watch:
- Any special of Daniel Sloss's you can find. And read his book, I think he's hilarious.
- Brené Brown's Netflix special 'Call to Courage', I know the name is awful, but I love her and what she does.
Read:
'Eight Dates' by Dr's John and Julie Gottmann- they market it as a guide for couples to learn how to deepen their intimacy by talking about the 8 topics on each date that most often lead to arguments in relationships, but I think everyone can benefit from it in every kind of close relationship. It's very didactic too :) I'm big into open communication and love stuff like this :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting people, learn about their culture and the way they think. I don't think connecting with people has to be difficult or superficial but in today's society you sometimes have to make an effort to make sure you don't just live past each other. This concept here is based on openness and trust towards complete strangers and that's bound to attract mostly cool people worth having a conversation with, I guess ;)
