Overview
About Me
A recently-qualified teacher that was born in Halifax and grew up between Leeds and Huddersfield, I think I've got a bit of a love of the travel thing, despite never having lived abroad. Whilst my job requires me to maintain a moderate level of focus, don't be fooled - I am a huge ditsy daydreamer at heart :)
Hobbies range from strumming a guitar in pursuit of one day writing a semi-decent song and simply sitting with a pint in my hand. Often closely followed by playing pool, badly. I also recently purchased a xylophone. I enjoy live music and have a particular affinity for alternative rock, folk, spacey sounds, rain on a tent roof, etc etc. Thanks Alexa.
I'm friendly, not easily offended, not easy to judge, and I enjoy meeting new people! I'm probably about 58% introvert but I mostly crave to be around people and want to meet people from all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Recently I've not managed to travel around much and I am keen for this to change and to learn, share ideas and make new friends along the way. I have a few travel stories of my own, and I can't wait to make more. For instance, I recently learnt whilst out in Croatia that they don't really use electric kettles in America...who knew?!

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a Maths teacher so I could teach you how to integrate and differentiate whilst in Leeds...which is totally what people want to know when travelling!
I can also read and write some Japanese. If you know any, I would bite your hand off to learn more, in the nicest possible fashion.
I can play a bit of guitar and have recently acquired a xylophone. Happy to show you :)
