About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Think globally, act locally.

ABOUT ME

If you can understand my Northern Irish accent then we're off to a good start!
I grew up in a small town near Belfast, Northern Ireland, but have lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for 4 years now.
Aside from that, I'm 23 years old, working in museums and archaeology and I love travelling and meeting new people. I love laughing and making others laugh, and I really want to make the most of this stage of my life - as it seems to be going way too fast!

Interests

I love art (drawing, painting, going to galleries), reading, eating and dancing. I love museums and going on digs, but unfortunately I only get to do the latter in summer months. I like going out and having a wee drink and a dance, but equally as happy to stay in with a good book. I'm always up for a new experience, and love hearing about other people's passions.

I love the ability couchsurfing gives to swap ideas and skills.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Partaking in an excavation of Roman temples in Tuscany in 2011 was a pretty awesome experience - it completely affirmed my love for archaeology (and Italian wine). Being able to do something I was passionate about in such a beautiful, relaxed setting (we stayed in a national park on the coast of Tuscany) meant I had a pretty idyllic life for those months!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love being able to discuss the things I'm interested in - art, politics and education - with others who share my passions or can offer new perspectives. Equally, I love hearing about or being prompted to think about completely new things. The most important things I think we can do as humans is to respect and care for one another, and I love being able to share knowledge and experiences with new people.
