About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to travel! I have a Downs Syndrome son and believe seeing some of this interesting planet will be an enriching experience for him too, with so few conventional opportunities for him.

ABOUT ME

I live with my family, am easy going, interested in life, people and travel, vegetarian, teetotal, non-smoking, and enjoy dancing and singing.

I am arriving in India this summer, to Hyderabad, for my son's wedding which will be on August 4th, but either side of this hope to travel and meet interesting people. I shall be with my little son, for four weeks travelling, and will also be joined by my two daughters for the first week of August.

PHILOSOPHY

This life is as if a miracle and is to be treasured. It can end at any time, which is sad, but that does not lesson the magic of the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had a tragedy a year ago, it needs to be said, with my house having a fire tragedy, since which I have not been paying so much attention to couchsurfing. If anyone likes to come and help with rebuilding at the same time then I will see you as an angel sent from heaven!!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a number of times now, which has mostly been fun.

When visiting India six years ago I stayed with my first ever couchsurfer hosts in Bangalore, very warm hearted people who have been a joy to meet. Then I stayed with an enigma known as John of the Jungle at Bokkapuram tiger and elephant reserve, a splendid and cultured host he was , and then more recently I stayed with two kind couchsurfers in Morocco, at a riad in Marrakesh and a music and film commune in Ouarzazate...
