ABOUT ME

Studied/traveled in Europe for six months in 2004 and traveled to 10 countries during my time there. Studied for a week in Ireland in 2008, traveled to nine countries before arriving there. Have been to 40 countries in my lifetime, meeting my goal of visiting 30 before I turned 30 (and then the next goal of 40 before turning 40). I have had many amazing experiences while traveling.

I like to experience things nobody else would have ever considered, from biking down the side of a mountain in Switzerland, to standing 3500 feet over the Norwegian fjords, dogsledding in the Arctic, watching the Northern Lights in Finland and Alaska, standing in the shadow of the moon during a solar eclipse in China, and more.

I run my own photography business when I am not working my normal fundraising job.

PHILOSOPHY

Take as many risks as possible, without it, life is pointless...Living life as No Opportunity Wasted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to help build trust between members of the CS community and to help build relationships even when couches aren't required.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met with a couchsurfing host in Colorado and it was a great experience. I have CouchSurfed in Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Bahamas...and have met various CouchSurfers at other times.

Interests

Photography, hiking, cycling, rugby, traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

All types of music, from rock to soul, I pretty much listen to everything. I want to hear international music too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stepped onto Kjeragbolten, a boulder lodged in a crack of a mountain 3400 feet up. Saw Pope John Paul II speak in the Vatican City. Went cycling through the Pyrenees in Spain. Bobsledded with the Latvian Olympic Team (as a guest). Got engaged to a wonderful woman in front of the Pyramids in Egypt. Saw the Northern Lights in Finland and Alaska. Saw a total solar eclipse in China.
