About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finishing my Sustainability degree in Brazil, and starting my solar energy business with a friend
ABOUT ME
I had a very international upbringing and have continued that during my career. In recent years I left the banking/multinational world and am refocusing myself on sustainability issues and currently starting a solar-energy company in Brazil. I'm a pretty serious person but like to explore and have fun too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted so many friends from all over the world - in my flats in Munich, Amsterdam, London and most recently in Sao Paulo. I like showing people the city where I happen to be living at the time, and also discovering new places for myself!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Admittedly very little experience at the moment - either hosting or visiting. I have been lucky enough to have friends already in many of the places where I wanted to go!
Interests
Running, sailing, diving, cinema, reading (always 3-4 books on the go at a time), anything related to sustainability issues, and now... starting a new business in Brazil!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like music, films and books (but I guess everyone does!).
Films - my favourite is Shawshank Redemption, but others I like include Lost in Translation, Gladiator, and 'Das Leben der Anderen'.
Books - I always seem to be reading 3-4 at a time, but lately they have a lot to do with various philosophies on sustainability issues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been lucky enough to travel a lot... already from a young age. Picking one highlight is difficult, but I'd say a visit to the Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina has to be high on the list... hence my profile picture is also from there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak 6 languages in various fluencies - but you should have no problem practicing your English, German, Dutch, Portuguese, or French with me. :)
And if nature and sustainability issues are your thing, I know of many initiatives and start-ups that are trying to make a difference, and can recommend some great books or tell you about what I've learned these past few years.
