About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming a leader.

ABOUT ME

A guy with social insinct, I like to know different people to exchange opinions and experiences.

I love to read and I can become curious about anything.
I believe in wandering, I consider life like a trip to the unknown. I'm still full of dreams for me and the world.

For this reasons I decided to study as a Social Worker at the university, with the intention to work with problematic people such drug addicts, disabled people, or people with mental diseases, children...

I try to read the "reality" using Sciences, looking for a sense to what I see, what I feel. Literature is the way to transform all this in beauty.

I have been writing since I was a child but in the last times I'm expressing myself in other ways especially through collage.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to do something good in the world, to increase my awareness and to be better in doing things.

I have an incredible passion for memory, so I like to note down not just expenses and activities, but smells met again after years, strange thoughts, summaries of books that I read...

When it comes to travel, I believe the travel starts months before, with long researches and fantasy; I don't believe in fast-food tourism or in see-as-many things as possible. Therefore listing experiences doesn't impress me anymore.

How deep have we been into those experiences? That's the point!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to start again hosting, even though my room is so small!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mmm... here is the part where I should list events and people you never heard about. Sounds a bit boasty, don't you think?

How about having a look at my Friends and References? :)

Interests

Biking: I am a all-year biker, and I believe long-distance biking and camping are the best way to travel.

Languages: I'm pretty keen on learning languages on my own. So far I managed with Norwegian and Vietnamese, Dutch is the third one.

Art: I'm a keen museum-goer. Ilya Kabakov absolute installations are my all-time favourite. I like to spend long hours in National Galleries and museums of all kinds. When I get sleepy I usually drink a coffee or eat some chocolate and keep going on. Audioguides also help keeping concentrated! :)

Comics: Chris Ware and Daniel Clowes, Bill Cunningham, Alan Moore.

Theater: Greek Tragedy, Cechov, Death of a Salesman;

I think it's easier to say that I'm interested about everything, as long as my curiosity can get me closer to the person I'm speaking to.

Music, Movies, and Books

When I'm in computer mode I'm constantly plugged to Youtube, listening to all types of music, however none of them stayed sticked to my heart as:

Radiohead, Arcade Fire.

Directors: Gondry, Scorsese, Bergman, Lynch, Kubrick, Chaplin, Allen, Eastwood, Cronenberg, Winding Refn, Wes Anderson ...

and: Donnie Darko, V for Vendetta, Little Miss Sunshine, Le fableux destin d'Amelie Poulin,

Writers: Proust, Borges, Pessoa, Ceckhov, Dostoevskij, Kafka, Nabokov, Bulgakov, Hesse, Safran Foer, Yourcenar, Scorza, Joyce, Kundera, Tagore, Beckett (just the plays), Miller (play), George R.R. Martin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept alone in several forests and strange places included a graveyard, founded a pub by starting from an abandoned building and lived there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach something about psychiatry and social work in general.
I have some cooking skills and I'm an Internet addicted, therefore I might have some tips!

Besides, when I get into something I try to become an expert, it lasts shortly, but it gives good results!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My curiosity, my positive mood, my experiences.

I can also cook an half-decent pasta and I LOVE washing dishes! :)
