Overview
About Me
I graduated my Bachelor in Neuroscience and Cell Biology last year and have been doing Epilepsy research at the university medical hospital in Utrecht since. My interests are rather broad, ranging from hiking and mountain sports such as climbing, skiing and snowboarding (which I am extremely passionate about) to going to the opera, which is a mere 10min walk away from my home in Amsterdam and where I can be found at least once a month. I'm an extrovert that can talk for hours, and an introvert that can be alone in nature for days. I'd like to get to know you, and the place where you live over a galss of wine, a dark beer, or a good meal (which I'll gladly cook).
Currently I am travelling through South America (Chile and Argentina). I cannot accept guests at the moment, but hope to do so again when I get home!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ater leaving my couch surfing account abandoned for a few years, I recently decided to revisit it and start using it again! - this came along as I was telling a fellow traveller about my solo hiking/camping experiences so far in argentina, and how I felt blessed to meet so many locals on the way, and that I had pretty much only spoken Spanish since I got here. I explained I felt more alienated from locals in the city. The reply, 'but can't you just couch surf?' Made me feel silly. I had a couch surfing account, I just forgot about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My hiking boots and I found their way above 5000m several times now, and it might not be an amazing thing, but it most certainly felt amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am very passionate about sharing the things I love, and probably won't shut up once I start. I believe everyone can teach you something, and anything that is new is interesting so let's just have a good discussion!
