To connect with wonderful people, have new experiences that challenge my way of thinking and interacting with the world. Also, supporting equality and justice for all, especially the liberation for Palestinians and an end to the occupation in Israel/Palestine. Ok that's a tall order, so also my current mission is to introduce folks to sex positive culture and alternative relationship styles.

ABOUT ME

Well hello there!

I'm Susannah, I'm outgoing, hyper and talkative. I am passionate about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but know when to avoid talking politics. I'm also really passionate about physical fitness and nutrition. Was a former gymnast and hip hop dancer. I like music,hiking, nature, festivaling, meeting awesome new people...! I'm also really passionate about sex positivity. I created a set of sex positive conversation cards originally for Burning Man and now I take them everywhere as a way to create a safe and open space for discussions on sex, gender and sexuality.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm subletting looking for a steady place in the SF Bay Area, mainly East Bay Oakland/Berkeley where I've been for the last 6 years. Because of this I have traveling a lot this summer so I'm looking more to surf than to host but when I have a place the karma will totally roll back around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in a co-op in Santa Cruz which hosted many great couch surfers. I had a blast partying with them and getting to know people from all over the world. I've been wanting to be a surfer for years but didn't have the time. Now that I have an open summer, I'm so excited to begin this journey!

Steig Larsson series!!! Coen brothers, Charlie Kaufmann films, movies that intellectually stimulate me. Music, everything but lately my lovely friend Rachel Lark who sings sex pos. ukulele songs. Check her out, she's awesome! Also been really into the band Dance Gavin Dance, some retro stuff like Leon Bridges, anything Dallas Green (City and Colour and You + Me), Incubus, really everything!

Lived in Israel/Palestine three times and seen some incredible things while there, anything from the vast Judaean desert to the looming separation barrier.

I'd love to learn how to surf, play instruments, whatever you want to teach me! I can teach you how to do a decent hand stand in 5 mins, tell you about Israel/Palestine politics, teach you to hip hop dance, stretch your body, and other preventive and gentle happy things for your health!

I can offer you a great conversation , cook you a good meal, tell you fascinating stories, play you silly uke songs, teach ya to stretch and other exercise technique (former personal trainer too!)
