About Me

Howdy!

My name is Suzz, a born and raised Parisian, and a travel freak and food lover.

I've been more than fortunate to have traveled to more than 150 cities in more than 40 countries, and to have met incredible people along the way.

I'm not the best at describing myself, but here are a few words some friends say about me:
smart, funny, very open-minded, cool, energetic, generous, modest 😉

I'm always up for new adventures, and my all-time two favorite things to do are: experiencing new things, and meeting people from all over the world

I'm a very curious woman who truly believes we all have interesting stories to tell, so please tell me yours!

Xoxo!

/!\ Edit Oct. 2022 : I'm unfortunately NOT able to host at the moment, but feel free to contact me if you want meet! /!\

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the best way to combine two of the things I love the most: traveling (or falling in love again with Paris), and meeting new people who come from all over the world.

/!\ Edit Oct. 2022 : I'm unfortunately NOT able to host at the moment, but hope you'll enjoy your stay in Paris /!\

Interests

I love to write. My greatest dream would be to write and publish one book haha. About what? I honestly don't know yet, but I'm working on it.

I'm also very sensitive to photography (I have a Canon EOS 80D and a very handy Pixel 3).

I've been learning (cuban) salsa and kizomba for 2 years, and I'm addicted to it now. So if you dance, then let's go dancing!

I'm also a HUGE food lover. I just grew up with two opposite cultures in which gastronomy is a very strong part of our identity. Eating is surely the most enjoyable moment of the day.

Besides, I'm a really bad singer.. but you can not spend one day without hearing me singing.

And obviously.. TRAVELING, TRAVELING and TRAVELING!!
New hobby: going to watch movies alone :D (personal best so far : 12 movies in 10 days)

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually, you will find almost everything in my playlist :
The Weeknd, Kygo, Eminem, Led Zep, Fleetwood Mac, ZZ top, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Elton John, Supertramp, some old school french and US rap and hip hop (80s-90s) such as Dr Dre, 2PAC, Souls of Mischief.., Queen, Charlie Puth.. and of course, A LOT of Latin music!

Some of my favorite movies ever: The Shawshank Redemption/Gladiator/Back To The Future. I also love Coen Brothers' movies (surreal humour).
My favorite French Director is Jacques Audiard. Check him out if you haven't heard about him!

Favorite authors : Orwell, Pearl Buck, Alexandre Dumas, Alain de Botton.
Favorite book: Flowers for Algernon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping 3 nights in a row in the open air gazing at the stars in South of France
Walking more than 30km in a day in Roma
Gathering random people to sing 'Despacito' with me in Turkey
Running the Bay To Breakers Race in San Francisco although I'm REALLY (but like really) bad at running
Spending 1 week in the Jungle Calais helping the migrants (teaching fr/eng, cooking for more than 1000 persons, cleaning the camp..)
Being on the phone for 12 hours non-stop
Floating on the Dead Sea
Dancing cumbia with a huge Mexican family in a Mexican restaurant, in Mexico City (CDMX).
Attending a dance competition in CDMX.
Swimming in the Nile River (which seemed extremely cold compared to the air's 49 Celsius degrees)
I've seen a beaver once in Canada, was the highlight of my day!
And many many many more things!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach and Learn:
I sincerely believe that each of us has something to teach and to learn. I'm always keen to discover new things and to teach what I know: dancing? cooking? french?

Share:
Friendship that goest beyond borders and cultures! I met some couchsurfers years ago who are still part of my life, this is what so good about connecting to people.

Otherwise, good vibes are always appreciated!
