I work for a non-profit that teaches mountaineering skills and advocates for land conservation through responsible recreation. I am also an artist and a traveller. I love to talk to people about different cultures and places - and visit them too. Next on my list is Iceland, Turkey and Japan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have mostly traveled through volunteering - which I fell in love with, not just for the philanthropic reasons of helping - but for the beauty of truly getting to know people who live in the land I'm visiting. However, some of the countries I'd like to visit (like Iceland) have fewer opportunities to volunteer and a friend suggest I try couch surfing as a way to get to know locals and the culture. So here I am!
