About Me
I travel a lot as I am building a house and it's taking a long time. Still only half finished. I've hosted friends from Peru and Taiwan in a camper on my property where I sleep in a trailer. I am a retired academic who worked in linguistic anthropology. This spring I took a course in Creative Nonfiction at the Institute for American Indian Arts so I can write things like this. Now working on a book Geezer Love which I'm co-authoring with a fellow I met at a festival in Hong Kong who lives in a monastery in Vancouver.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was on it before and had good experiences. Just got a message from Couchsurfing saying I should say hello to someone whose couch I surfed two years ago. Nice fellow who is no longer taking guests and has not logged in for 8 months. He did not have a shower and took his showers at the beach. So though I had not Couchsurfed in two years I thought I would try it again.
