About Me
I am proudly working to become the crazy cat lady you hear so much about. I live at the end of the road, I knit and crochet, I'm an active library patron and, of course, I have cats. Just two, though, not a herd.
I love music, love to read and delight in a good meal out with friends. I tend to geek out over ancient (and sometimes not so ancient) history and mythology. When I think of the places I'd most like to visit, the names that come to mind are Iraq, Anatolia and Egypt.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to name! For music, I like jazz, pop, rock, punk, blues, reggae, classical and others. If it has a sitar or a didgeridoo, I probably like it. I'm enamored of music with lyrics in languages I can't understand. I'm fond of music that has a beat but can spend hours listening to ballet.
Movies interest vary by mood. If it's sci-fi, I've probably seen it. If it has Bette Davis or Paul Giomatti, likewise. I'm happy watching something that requires subtitles or without. Period dramas, summer blockbusters, arthouse experiments, action fluff, horror, examinations of the human condition. I like it all.
Books are easier because my library (yes, I have a library) is filled mostly with sci-fi and fantasy. But there is a variety of nonfiction there as well, from great big coffee table books on ancient history to dictionaries of medieval terms. Books on writing, books on philosophy, books of symbols. It is a small library. But tightly packed!
