About Me
ABOUT ME
I've moved all over the USA: never yet lived anywhere for longer than five years, and everywhere I've lived, I've found different great people and fun things. I've also traveled quite a bit- for my job (which I've been at for seven years now) I get to visit bookfairs, bookstores, and radical spaces all over the US and Canada. I've been in Baltimore nearly two years now and am pretty settled: I have a great house and an adorable dog and feel at home. But still definitely not done having adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not a fan of capitalism, the State, hierarchical social relations, etc... and I spend a lot of time thinking about how to do away with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new here! I often go on road trips to work events and visit bookstores for my work, but we run on a super low budget and can't pay for hotels so I'm pretty much on my own. I have a great network of people I can stay with in some cities, but in between those places I'm looking to meet some new folks.
Interests
I am part of a collectively run radical book publisher and distributor (that's my day job). I'm also a printmaker, currently working on setting up a screenprinting shop in my basement. Other than that: going on road trips (usually work related but I cram in as much fun as possible), thinking about big political questions, occasionally remembering to go to the gym, reading as much as I can, slowly learning how to fix things in my house, searching out good music and art and adventures, drinking bourbon, and taking my dog for walks in the woods.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: for what it's worth, my top 5 records of the moment are Townes Van Zandt's "Live at the Old Quarter," Elliott Smith's "Either/Or," Carla Bozulich's "I'm Gonna Stop Killing," Ornette Coleman's "The Shape of Jazz to Come," and The Replacements' "Let It Be."
Movies: Netflix thinks I like "Cerebral Road Trip Dramas," "Visually-striking Foreign Action & Adventure," "Goofy Cult Comedies," and "Mind-bending Experimental Movies."
Books: Too many. Besides what I'm reading for work (lots), I've been getting into Manning Marable's biography of Malcolm X, and also digging Breece D'J Pancake's short stories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a good vegan cook. I can teach you how to screenprint. I am also pretty good at Scrabble but you can definitely still beat me. And especially if you like radical political books, I can probably recommend you something that you will like to read.
