I'd like to check out lots of cities and make friends from abroad to connect with everyone worldwide and get a feeling for as many cultures as possible.

ABOUT ME

I'm a Hispanic Studies graduate from Glasgow Uni. I now work from home running a tutoring business called Spanish with Style at the same time as doing support work at Glasgow University. Life is generally quite nice just now. I have been practicing Buddhism for ten years now as part of the Soka Gakkai International. I help to organise the meetings for my local district and I love them. Otherwise I never really know what to say in these blurb thingys I mean I'm a person not a book I can't sum me up in 1000 words. Anyone that honestly feels they can probably has rubbish banter and I can promise I don't have any of that. So if you want to get to know me do so and keep in touch.

PHILOSOPHY

My heroes are Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King, President Ikeda. In daily life we have to remember everyone has superpowers we just need to uncover them for me a hero's superpower can be anything from cooking an amazing ham to keeping up with a four year old's energy levels it's just the famous people that usually get the hero spotlight but everyone deserves it now and again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently staying with my parents so I can only really offer to show people round Glasgow and take them for coffee. I've joined as I've heard other people tell me how great couch surfing is. I had a similar couch surfing set up for teachers in Spain a few years back and I set a few people to stay with me through that and I really enjoyed showing them round the cities. I like that couch surfing is on a much larger scale so I'd like to be able to help someone see my own city too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I stayed at a wonderful man's house for a night during the bull running festival in Pamplona and he really saved our weekend. I'll be eternally grateful as all hotels there were booked and I couldn't have handled another night in the park.

Interests

Anything to do with theatre I'm there. I'm doing a bit of voluntary acting at the moment. I'm studing holistic therapy and I love giving massages. Oh and I love butterflies they're my favourite animals and I love going to butterfly glasshouses.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is so eccletic it runs from Suzanne Vega to Marylin Manson. I really couldn't fit in all the things I like here at all. At the moment I'm listening to lots of Salsa and Spanish ska. Anything made by studio Ghibli makes me happy I love manga films. I generally like action, comedy and drama but not weepy stuff and I really hate horror movies.I like watching comedies like Ugly Betty and my Name is Earl but I don't keep up with any soaps and I hate reality TV it's evil. Mostly I watch stuff downloaded from the net like one piece, death note, naruto ah the list could go on. I like to read fantasy novels and love anything by Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett or fairy tales and legends like the ladies of grace adieu.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In February last year I walked over hot coals to raise £100 for the charity Enable Scotland which helps diabled people. On my travels throughout Spain there are far too many amazing things I've seen to list them in this tiny box.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach massage techniques, basic tai chi, aromatherapy and bits and pieces of several european languages.
