Overview
About Me
This spring I embarked on a four month road trip across the U.S. with my best friend, and now roommate, Elizabeth. After months of couch surfing, camping, hiking, and radio lab, I decided to change all plans, defer graduate school and move to Colorado.
I spent a year in VT, after being raised in IL, and fell in love with the mountains. Ever since that time, my dream place has been a city large enough to be anonymous in, near mountains to climb and lakes to skinny dip in. I am so stoked to be able to say that I've found that place!
I love toast, raisins, black coffee, cuddling, dogs, cats, other people's babies, clean teeth, running, hiking, dancing, reading, camping, skinny dipping, and concerts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my experience couchsurfing has been the best way to get to know a city. Staying with a local makes lodging feel more like home. Often, I leave with a new friend, and find the best areas of a new city.
After having such magnificent couchsurfing experiences, I am stoked to share my home and host others who are on the road!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Sufjan Stevens, Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse, Andrew Bird, Regina Spektor, Man Man, The Mountain Goats, Chance the Rapper, Beyonce
Movies: I rarely feel like committing to watch a whole movie, and of course end up watching hours of TV instead. Characters can just be so well developed through the course of a television show, it's a bit more intriguing.
Books: Dave Eggers, Kurt Vonnegut, David Foster Wallace, Richard Braughtigan, etc. and I'm always looking for new books and down to trade!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built a snow fort this January and moved in for the weekend.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am working on learning the guitar because I love to sing. I'm trying to improve my painting skills, and am always looking for a running buddy. Once I finish a book, I'm always looking to trade or give it away to someone who will appreciate it.
