ABOUT ME

I am 29 years old, I have been living, studying and working in Amsterdam for the last ten years. And I have to say it´s my favorite place in the world.
But I also love traveling, I went away for 8 months when I turned 18, I travelled to Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia then. More recently I visited Indonesia, Cuba and India, and I did another big trip to Argentina, Bolivia and Peru and the US. In the US I had my first (and many more) couchsurfing experience. And I LOVED it!

Currently me and my friend Misha are road tripping from San Francisco to Los Angeles and we'd love to stay with couchsurfers along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

I think everyone is free to live they're life the way they want as long as they don't harm others. For me this means enjoying every day as much as possible and not regretting anything I've done because every choice I've ever made has got me to where I am now and i wouldn't want it to be any other way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately my life is very busy right now, my plan was to help out people who can't find a couch in Amsterdam but I live with two roommates so hosting is only possible if they agree. But I have been very lucky to be able to host one of the people I stayed with in Texas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been one of the best travelling experiences I've ever had. It's different every time but it has always included meeting so many wonderful people and having unexpected adventures! I hope to host and surf a lot more in the future.

兴趣

Music, photography (taking photos and visting galleries), films, food (lots!), live music, dancing, the seasons, meeting new people, seeing as much as i can of the world.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love seeing concerts and Amsterdam is such a great place to do it. There are also a lot of good music festivals in the Netherlands. When i go out i like dancing to techno, another good reason to live in Amsterdam (great techno parties).

I like a lot of different movies from Star Wars to the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A great movie I've recently seen is

I love to read and my goal is to read at least a book a month. Favorites of 2017 include: Homegoing, Stoner and I know why the caged bird sings.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Going to the many great places all over the world. Jumping out of an aeroplane above New-Zealand. But also just enjoying summers (and falls, winters and springs) in Amsterdam.

I've studies Sociology and American studies, this made me look at society in a much more reflective and for-bearing way. My knowledge is quite wide which makes my interested in a lot of different things, I enjoy learning things from people and asking a lot of questions but also explaining my point of view. Discussions can be a great way to learn.
