About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To seekout other CSers and make friends along the way!

ABOUT ME

Okay a little about myself. I'm a person who loves to learn--whether it's new skills, new cultures, new ways of thinking--I'm there! I really enjoy meeting new people and can be shy at first but warm up pretty quickly.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm starting to realize that you should always be true to yourself...because the only person that has to live with your decisions forever is yourself.

I really enjoy meeting people and sharing life experience. The world is so diverse, but at the same time we all go through the same types of milestones in our lives. I try not to be judgmental of anyone because I know we all come from different circumstances--and you never know what type of feelings or circumstances that people are going through.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm looking to meet people in the local area and places I might travel. I'm trying to ease myself in to CS and am looking for people to grab a cup of coffee or dinner with and just have a nice chat. I could really use some advice and tips for CS in general and would love to hear from you. I think CS is a really great idea and a unique way to experience the world; however, I'm still a bit reserved because I want to have fun but be safe at the same time. Any tips on doing both would be great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't had any couch surfing experience yet! But I'm looking forward to my first...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies! I'm not really much of a movie buff but I do enjoy watching all sorts of movies...except horror films. Even though I know horror films are not real..I still get scared xD. I also really enjoy independent films and films that go outside of classic hollywood.

Music: I like indie and folk music-- tegan and sara, ingrid michealson, regina spektor, mgmt, death cab for cutie, la roux, ok go, the killers, fuji fighters, sia...And I also enjoy pop music (the catchy beats on the radio) ... but I don't really like heavy metal or country

Books: I like the Harry Potter Books and Hunger Games. I do a lot of technical reading...like computer books and books about how to do stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gotten a really sweet opportunity to see quite a bit of the world below are some of the places I've been:

Oaxaca, Mexico - Oaxaca is a beautiful state and city. Its vibrant with cultures and colors...got to see some ruins and el Tule (a huuuuuge tree from the time of Jesus)
Vancouver, Canada- got a chance to go to Whistler and do some mountain biking--beautiful!
London, England - saw the National Portrait Museum, the tower of london, shakespeare's globe theatre, etc.
Hong Kong, China - saw the giant buddah
Beijing, China - had alot of fun shopping and saw and walked on the Great Wall of China and went to the forbidden city
Bangkok, Thailand - rode elephants in the jungle and went to a floating market...awesomeness!
Tokyo,Japan - Went to the Pokemon Center!!! AWESOME (I'm a fan of pokemon heheh)...saw the imperial palace and walked around tokyo...really cool
Seoul, Korea - beautiful place but really cold in the winter!
hawaii - I actually never went to the beach in Hawaii but the hiking was awesome! Another gorgeous place to visit.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've done some programming and every once in awhile I get an urge to do some. Would love to work on a project with someone or help someone who is starting out.

I also enjoy cooking with others and find it relaxing.

I'm still learning Spanish and would love to practice with someone.
