Passionate about travelling, exploring the world, learning about new cultures and meeting interesting people.
I love photography (for fun only), reading and keeping fit.
At the end of 2011, I quit my job in the UK, sold all my possessions and started on a new, more flexible life - so far, I have no regrets. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I have been a member for a while, I have not been actively involved in couch surfing.
I currently have no couch to offer but would love to meet new people wherever I am in the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have heard many great stories, but I have only 2 direct experiences which were both very positive. In El Salvador I was taken on a 2 day road trip by a fellow couch surfer. She was great fun, really easy to get on with, really added to my experience of El Salvador and made me realise what couch surfing is really all about. Then in Chamonix, I stayed with a fellow couchsurfer for a few days between rentals ..... again everything was great and we had a fun time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not a big movie buff - like to watch them but then usually forget them - movies I haven't forgotten include Pulp Fiction, Matrix and Fight Club.
I enjoy listening to music and love it when I get introduced to new music that hits the spot.
I am a bit of a bookworm - love the real thing, not yet been converted to Kindle - some of my favourite books include Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Book Thief, Angels Game, 1984, The Shadow of the Wind, A Year of Wonders and The Color Purple.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing? - you must be joking! Don't even know where to start with this one....... hot air ballooning over the Serengeti? Sky Diving in Nambia? Wild camping in the Okavango Delta? Volunteering at a school in Guatemala? Hiking the Inca Trail? And many more .....
