About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Try to meet other CSers and spontaneously host!
ABOUT ME
I'm a UCSB graduate with a BA in French. I got out of school about a year ago and joined the corporate grind, but I'm trying to live my free time to the fullest. CS is all about adventures, and I need more of those!
I'm a lover of language and I love to practice, so send me a message if you speak spanish, french, portuguese or italian and want to help tutor me! I enjoy talking about anything really... from the vegetables you just can't stand to eat, or those that you do love, to your favorite film adaptation of a comic.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in positivity and optimism. If you have those two, you can do anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm trying to host when I can. I've used CS all over Europe and definitely want to give back!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed in Portugal (Lisboa & Porto), La Rochelle (FR), Brussels, Amsterdam and Geneva. I must say I was extremely impressed! It's really the only way to travel, you just learn so much from your hosts, not only about the town and culture, but just the most interesting things about humans and the differences among us. All positive, of course!
Interests
I really want to try new things, just do things I would never even think of doing on my own. I'm really adventurous and spontaneous. I want to do everything! I like to watch movies, go exploring, and well, I love to talk. =] Although I would describe myself as having a lot of energy, I can be a very relaxed tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books
DISCLAIMER: I am a Film Buff.
This is both a list of my favorite movies and also films I highly recommend. As you'll notice, my tastes vary considerably. I love all genres of film from independent, foreign and gay/lesbian to popular blockbusters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left California to study abroad. I lived/studied/traveled in France for a year and it was an incredible experience which has allowed me to meet great people and try new things. I know I'll always remember the year I studied abroad. =)
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn to speak French fluently, and of course tidbits of other languages. I think it's nice to at least try to learn a few phrases when you travel to a new country.
I want to help others learn English or Spanish if they so choose.
I'd love to share my cooking with anyone willing to try it!
