Hi!

My name is Svante, I'm 24 and excited to explore the world trough Couchsurfing! I haven't done anything like it before but I really like the concept and admire the people who open their home to others.

I live in Sweden's second largest city, Gothenburg, where I currently study in master of science in engineering, IT. During my studies my interest for sustainability have grown more and more so soon I'll study environmental science instead. At my university I'm engaged in a student society working for sustainability where I've participated in many fun projects and events. If you want, you can check it out on css.chs.chalmers.se.

In my profile picture I also have my girlfriend Maja, as we are going to travel together. She's 21, a calm and friendly girl who's soon finished her bachelor of social services. She loves to stand up for woman and animal rights.

In my free time I like to play games and doing stuff with my friends and girlfriend. When I get the time and money, I love traveling. One typical quest that's never gets boring is finding great vegan restaurants. One of the favorites places is Fed by water in UK. My favorite country to visit is Thailand thought, the food, the people, the fresh fruits, everything is so nice there.

I love the idea of Couchsurfing and thinks it's amazing that people are willing to share their home with others, I hope to get the same opportunity when I have moved to a bigger place. As a student, of course one part of it is to save some money but I'm also looking forward to getting to know the locals of a city to get an even greater experience from my trip.

Movies: Interstellar, Starship troopers, Matrix, Marvel, everything with Jim Carrey , comedy, Cowspiracy, Forks over knifes, I also like to stay updated with the news and politics

Books: Haven't read many but there was two I really liked, I'll write the title when I remember them. One was about a pharmaceutical company and the other about a fighter pilot.

I love snorkeling, I've done it around small islands in Thailand and one far out in the ocean in Egypt.
