I'm a 21 year old college student from the Netherlands who likes to travel and meet new people. I am a bit of a computer nerd and I enjoy making and listening to music.

Very calm, laid back, kind and not afraid of being weird (the fun kind, I hope). A variety of interests like having deep, philosophical conversations, having a drink at a nice bar, walking / running / climbing around the city and just simply having fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love travelling, but I feel that whenever you wander around a city with the Lonely Planet, you still miss out on things. The tiny things that make a country so special and unique. I feel like meeting local people can add that little something to your trip, that little uniqueness, which you're looking for when you're visiting a place.

Another (honest) reason why I'm on Couchsurfing is because I'm a college student with not too much to spend. Staying in a hostel is a waste of money that you can use for more fun things whenever you're staying at someone's place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

Anything except hardcore and hardstyle. Mostly older Rock music like Metallica, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Nirvana, but also stuff like Imagine Dragons and Arctic Monkeys.

Movies:

Anything except horror and overly cheesy romantic stuff. Favorite all time movie; The Pianist. Also love stupid comedies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two things come to mind. Both not too special, but my inspiration is gone as I'm writing this.

A few years ago I visited Paris. It was 5 days of seeing the highlights, but the thing that stood out for me was going to the top of the Eiffel tower at night. That view is something I'll never forget.

Second one isn't really one specific thing. I've organized quite a few "big" events that were visited by a lot of people. Seeing the happiness and the appreciation of the people is always amazing to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some Dutch, some guitar skills, how to make killer Thai food.

I am interested in basically everything. The more I can learn, the better :) Especially interested in card tricks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mainly stories and experiences. I'm still fairly young, but I've seen quite a lot of places and I've done quite a lot of stuff. I'm also a decent cook, so I guess I could make dinner. No Dutch food though.
