Overview
About Me
27, grad student, exchange in Iowa. Never surfed before, but had a lot of good experiences with the CS community in Istanbul, while I lived there.
I'm an open minded guy that was not given possibility to travel until I was 21. The last years, things escalated quickly. After returning from a 10 month's stay in Turkey not even a year ago, I just arrived in the US. Would love to meet people that share their experience and views on life or just have a good time hanging out (the one does not exclude the other!).
For now - more to tell, more will follow. Just still dizzy and brain-jetlagged ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Within my short 5 months is the US, I'll try to meet a lot of people and to share as many stories and inspiration as possible. Just new here, more information will come soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in Istanbul for ten months pretty much right after the coup attempt and didn't give a damn. Jeez.
Teach, Learn, Share
Trying to learn Dutch and to improve my Turkish. Thanks to my deaf parents I'm fluent in (German) Sign Language. Had Latin and Standard classes for three years - the papers say I can dance.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Once I moved in August: My room and maybe the houses couches of my fancy visionary housing collective in lovely Iowa City.
