About Me
I would describe myself as a very social, chaotic, spontaneous and sometimes stubborn human being who loves traveling. I am not good at planning my journeys, but that's okay. Mistakes are there to make them, and often there is a path you never would have seen if everything was going on perfect.
I love learning new things, for example about different cultures including their games, food, etc.
My friends would say I'm brave, but also a little bit crazy and childish, because I just don't go with the flow. I want to see the world, and I want to see it before I'm old and grumpy ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was backpacking in Sweden, I met Inger, who invited me to stay for a couple of days in her flat in Norrköping. It were four of the best days I had in Sweden, Inger was really good company and unlike other 62 years old women she enjoyed drinking Whiskey and listening to Iron Maiden with me :D
Interests
Nature, hiking, camping, meeting new people, culture, food, books, juggling, social work
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Some of my favorite bands are Linkin Park, Rise Against, Flogging Molly, Iron Maiden and Paramore. But in general, music has to fit the situation. So I also love Jazz, Blues and Indie music.
Movies:
I love the good old Disney classics, but besides being nostalgic I like the Quentin Tarantino movies, Into the Wild, Back to the future, Indiana Jones, Pan's Labyrinth, Life of Brian, Léon - The Professional, The Blues Brothers, Oldboy, Hayao Miyazaki movies.. and I absolutely adore the Star Wars film series!
Books:
Too many. I would say "The City of Dreaming Books" by Walter Moers.
Why? Well, to quote another great book (by Stephen Chbosky) it's "because it was the last one I read."
I also like authors like Stephen King, Kim Harrison, James M. Barrie, Sergej Lukianenko, Enid Blyton, Anthony Horowitz, Markus Zusak, Morton Rhue, Michael Ende, Harper Lee and Arthur Conan Doyle.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My most intense experience so far was the month I spent in Sweden. Only my backpack and me, it was one of the best journeys I ever had! So many "first times": first time all alone in a unfamiliar country, first time I dared hitch hiking, first time I felt incredibly free. It was awesome!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden
