Overview
About Me
Hello fellow travellers and hosts,
my name's Svenja, I'm 20 years young and currently living in Idstein near Frankfurt, in the very center of beautiful Germany.
I've graduaded High School in June 2015 and have been travelling a bit since, mainly through Australia!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been working as an Au Pair during my stay in Australia, that made me realise how much easier it is to actually get to know the local people and their habits when you actually live with a local, instead of meeting the same fellow Germans in overpriced hostels over and over again.
Interests
I love animals, the ocean, surfing, being outdoors (not necessarily hiking though), but I enjoy days with a book and a tea on my sofa just as much as a day at the beach. :-)
Besides that I'm very interested in languages. I'm studying German and English to become a teacher, I'm very chatty and try to use as much of my language skills as I can, whenever I can!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books are great and I would read almost everything, although I'm rather the "orcs-get-killed-by-elves"-type than the "scandinavian-gets-murdered-under-strange-circumstaces"-type (I prefer sci-fi/fantasy over thrillers).
I listen to all types of music, except for hardcore metal and dubstep, and like all kinds of movies (except for romantical comedies, Heaven forbid).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've travelled 5000km along the south coast of Australia, in a car that's definitely rather made for being occasionally used in the city instead of being forced to drive on gravel roads and through rain forests!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good stories, lots of recipes (I love cooking and know what wine to serve with my meals, haha)
